Leia’s cake smash – Ottawa child photography

Today was a big day here at K McCadden Photography. Our very first in studio client here in our new studio Barrhaven studio was Miss Leia, who came for a custom styled first birthday cake smash! Her beautiful cake was made by Mundy Mundy Cakes  Leia wasn’t too sure about the sweet icing but she loved the cake, and especially her bubble bath after to clean up!

Moving to Ottawa!

I am both sad and excited to say that K McCadden Photography will be moving from Edmonton, Alberta to Ottawa, Ontario this summer! I will be wrapping up things here in Edmonton by the end of June and will be hoping to have things up and running in Ottawa by the end of August! If you are in the Edmonton area and are in need of any print products from your sessions taken with me you will still be able to order but there would be an additional shipping charge after June 2016.

I will be sad to not be able to continue to capture wonderful memories for my Alberta clients but I look forward to meeting some equally wonderful clients in Ontario!

Making Memories 1

Kali & Ashton in the Fall

I’ve had my first photo shoot with somebody I didn’t know already! I had so much fun photographing these two girls in the fall leaves. These sisters just adore each other; big sister loves kissing and giving attention to her to her baby sister and baby sister’s eyes show how much she loves her big sister! I had a very hard time narrowing down just a few pictures to post here on the website!

Launch Day

It’s Launch Day! After much encouragement from friends and family I’ve decided to go from hobby photographer to professional photographer. Thank you so much to my friends who’ve helped me expand my portfolio in the past couple weeks (and those that have allowed me to use pictures I’ve taken for them in the past few years), my fantastic photographer friends who have passed on advice and helped me to improve over the years, and most of all, thank you to Dan, Keira and Brenna who have put up with me sticking my camera in their faces over the years to capture memories and in turn improve my photography skills.
